9-year-old girl was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle while riding her bicycle in Collier County.
The incident occurred just before 6 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Radio Road and Madison Park Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A 65-year-old woman driving a Hyundai Santa Cruz was stopped at a red light. The girl began crossing the intersection in the crosswalk.
When the light turned green, the driver moved forward as the girl continued into the eastbound lanes.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the girl was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
