PRYOR, OKLA. (KTUL) — A pilot from Idaho was killed in a helicopter crash Friday morning near Pryor.
It happened east of Mid-America Industrial Airport around 9 a.m.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified the pilot as 56-year-old Emanuele Tsikoudakis of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Troopers say Tsikoudakis was guiding two people on the ground who were working on pulling lines. Those two people told OHP that the helicopter was hovering normally until it suddenly flipped over and hit the ground nose first.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will investigate.
